The hard white outside of your tooth is called enamel.  This is the hardest material that your body makes!

Under the enamel is the dentin.  This is not very hard and has tiny little holes in it.

In the center of the tooth is the pulp.  This is the part where all of the blood vessels and nerves are.

Below the tooth is bone.
