APPLYING FOR A SUPPORT STAFF JOB

Q: How do I find out about available jobs?

A: Jobs are generally advertised in the locally distributed Quad Community Press newspaper. Occasionally, jobs are advertised in the Sunday edition of the statewide newspapers. Jobs are also posted on-line. Refer to the answer of the next question.

Q: How do I apply for an advertised job for which I’m qualified?

A: Applicants need to complete an application on-line at www.isd12.org. At the ww.isd12.org site click on the "Employment" quick link on the left side of the screen or select "Human Resources" from the DEPARTMENTS drop down box.

Q: Is it OK to call your office to find out if my application material is complete?

A: If you have carefully followed the directions when completing your application by the advertised due date, there is no need for you to call the personnel office. The small size of the personnel office and the large volume of applications make response letters from the school district to each applicant impossible.

Q: Is it OK to call your office to find out if I’m going to get a job interview?

A: If you are going to be invited for a job interview, the personnel office will contact you by telephone. Please do not contact the Human Resources Office for an interview.

Q: If I apply for a job and don’t get hired, and a job for which I’m qualified is advertised at a later date, do I have to reapply?

A: No. Your original application will be electronically stored and you may update your application on-line at any time.
