This full day, year-before-kindergarten program is currently held at Blue Heron, Centerville and Rice Lake elementary schools, and will be added to Centennial Elementary for the 2013-14 school year. KC Preschool is designed to help children prepare to enter kindergarten with the skills and behaviors necessary to be successful. Children who are four years old before Sept. 1 of the current school year and are toilet trained are eligible to enroll.
Kids Club childcare before and after preschool is offered from 6-9:30 am and 4-6 pm for an additional charge. Children work on listening, personal and social development, language and literacy, thinking and math skills through guided play, group time, and social interaction. Activities include language arts, math, science, art, large muscle (gym/outside), dramatic play, blocks, and music.
Children attending during school hours will need to purchase a lunch or bring a lunch from home. Before school enrollees have the opportunity to purchase breakfast.
