Kindergarten: Students are repeatedly exposed to fiction and non-fiction literature. To accomplish teaching these concepts, we are currently reading a fiction story with porcupines as the main character, while at the same time, we are reading a nonfiction book that explains how porcupines actually live. A new display of Easy Reading or ÒStep Into ReadingÓ books is now available for students to browse through and select. Students who are just beginning to decode vowel/letter sounds will be encouraged to select books from this display., and Bringing Down The Moon.
