April is National Poetry month. Poetry is a genre that the students have studied during library. We have a variety of poetry books on display in our media center. The students have a few favorites that inspire them to love reading poetry. Some students have also written their own poems to share with everyone.
The New Kid On The
Block By:Jack Prelutsky
I'm Bold, I'm Brave
I'm bold, I'm brave, I know no fear.
I'm gallant as a buccaneer.
Is that a hornet by my ear?
Gangway! I'm getting out of here!

SHARING
I'll share your toys, I'll share your money,
I'll share your toast, I'll share your honey,
I'll share your milk and your cookies too-
the hard part's sharing mine with you.
Kids Pick The
Funniest Poems By: Bruce Lansky Bug
In the window of the washroom
At our school yesterday,
A little bug was crawling
In its little buggy way.
I whispered in its tiny ear
To not make any noise;
because it was a ladybug
And the washroom is for boys.
