The Popcorn Wall represents the popcorn theme the third and fourth graders have been working on for the last month. (October was National Popcorn Month). Our featured author in October was Tomie Depaola. His book The Popcorn Book was our inspiration. Students are researching popcorn trivia and learning about reference materials in the library. The popcorn kernels were an art integration activity where students learned to do contour line drawing, create shallow space, and apply pointillism shading techniques for a 3-Dimensional effect.

The students are quite proud of their creations!
