Students –We focus on the acquisition of high-level academic skills and the healthy social, physical and emotional development of our students.

Staff – We are supportive, dedicated, and committed to our school. We foster growth in all members of the Golden Lake Learning Community.

Community – We focus on the idea that a school can and should be a center for all members of the community to participate, contribute, and promote the learning and well being of children.

Excellence – We inspire our students to achieve their full potential and to passionately pursue excellence in everything they do.

Integrity - We are reliable and promote honesty and a firm sense of fairness in our interactions with one another.                                      

Global Education –          

Cultural Competence – We respect, celebrate, and learn from our differences and it is central to what ties us together.

Peace in our World – We are a peace site and are committed to:

Environmental Stewardship – All things are interconnected; we recognize and accept our obligation to act responsibly to protect the environment and conserve our resources.

Focus on the Future – We honor our history while making school improvement as a result of continuous evaluation.

 

These value statements were developed in cooperation by the Golden Lake Community. Staff and parents worked together to define our beliefs. The belief statements now act as our guide for future growth and goals. All efforts will be tied to what we believe is truly important at Golden Lake. We will consistently strive to align our actions and goals with our belief statements.
