Soldier Care Packages Our Golden Lake Student Council has a goal of creating Soldier Care Packages for the soldiers serving in Iraq. Included in the Care Packages would be: food items and personal letters from students. Items the troops would like to get in their care packages are:
packaged cookies	granola bars (non chocolate)
salted nuts	magazines (new or recently used)
girl scout cookies	gum
pop tarts	sunscreen
chap stick with sunscreen	skittles
chips	crackers
Powerade or Gatorade	crossword puzzles
Anything with chocolate is not good, it gets very hot in Iraq. It will melt before it arrives.
It is a week long endeavor to collect items for the care packages and to raise $$$ to pay for the shipping and/or purchasing adding additional items. Coin Collection: Monday - Pennies Tuesday - Nickels Wednesday - Dimes Thursday - Quarters Friday - All Currency & Coins Collection Items to date.....
